  • Powerflex red lower dogbone engine mount insert

After having my Octavia VRS TSI remapped to 330bhp, when under brisk acceleration on very uneven roads, I was getting banging underneath the car from the dogbone mount, caused by the tyres loosing some grip. I decided to try fitting the Powerflex red insert to reduce that problem. I went for the red one, as it is regarded as the softest and I did not want too much vibration from a harder insert, especially on tickover. Once fitted there was some tickover vibration, but it was normal throughout the rest of the rev range. Over the last 300miles since fitting the insert, this vibration has settled down a bit. However, it was never that bad to start with. I have also driven the car to a piece of uneven road local to me where under acceleration before fitment, it did cause this dreadful banging underneath. With the Powerflex insert fitted, this problem has been eliminated. It has not had a long term test yet, but so far so good. I am certainly happy with the purchase and the improvement shown since.
