High-performance racing technology for daily road use with KW 3-way racing damper adjustment technology
With the KW Variant 4 coilover suspension “inox-line” we combine our leading racing technology with a significant increase of everyday suitability for numerous high-performance vehicles. This enables an independent adjustment of the rebound stage damping as well as low-speed and high-speed compression stage damping. KW supplies the Variant 4 with a vehicle-specific performance setting. With the adjustable dampers, drivers can – if necessary – quickly change to a comfort setting by using the integrated setting dials on the damper.
The three-way adjustable high-performance dampers with the independent setting of the rebound stage by the “TVR-A”-technology as well as the low-speed and high-speed compression stage damping by the “TVCLH-A”-technology are based on the successful racing technology of the multiple overall winner of the ADAC Zurich 24h Nürburgring race and are depending on the vehicle-specific version, braced with aluminum top mounts. The new KW coilovers Variant 4 are exclusively developed for selected high-performance-vehicles, which due to the sophisticated KW suspension technology can benefit from safer driving at the limits of their driving dynamics.
TVR-A rebound stage damping (Twin Valve Rebound – Adjustable):
The two-step, patented “TVR-A” technology enables the small volume to flow through an adjustable, conical low-speed bypass in the case of slow damper speeds, while in the case of higher piston speeds, the main rebound stage valve opens for the large volume flows. This provides a big improvement in terms of ride comfort without influencing the high-speed in the safety-relevant range. There are 16 precise clicks available for individual settings, so you can choose between more comfort or more body control.
TVCLH-A compression stage damping (Twin Valve Compression Low Highspeed – Adjustable):
With 6 precise clicks in low-speed and 14 precise clicks in high-speed range of the compression stage damping, the cross sections in the valves are decreased or increased, in order to achieve either more or less compression stage damping. The “TVCLH-A”-technology has a blow-off characteristic with large cross-sections which allows high low-speed forces for an optimum bracing of the vehicle body without raising the body in the case of wheel-induced high damper speeds (driving over curbs). The separate low and high-speed setting is always supplied with an additional rebound setting (“TVR-A”-technology) for an in dependent 3-way damper setting.
