Vital kit consisting of cam follower, fuel pump sealing o-ring, & fuel pump hardware
The camshaft follower found in VW and Audi 2.0T FSI engines rides on the camshaft and transfers the motion into the high pressure fuel pump. This small part can play quite a big role in your engine's well being, as it keeps a barrier and connection point between your camshaft and your high pressure cam driven fuel pump.
Numerous issues cause excessive wear of the camshaft follower; fuel dilution of the oil, poor lubrication due to low-ZDDP oil regulations, insufficient surface hardening of the cam follower contact surface.
Without replacement, it is common for followers to have full holes worn though them.
Regular checkup of your cam follower and replacement can prevent irreversible damage to your fuel pump or camshaft..

Bought this kit recently and had it fitted today. Genuine VW part at a standard price. The part from TPS when I enquired was on 2 months back ordet so delighted to get it in 2 days from Awesomegti after being suggested by Facebook Golf GTi group.
The cam follower had never been changed on my Golf for just shy of 74k but had full VW service history up to 57k. In fairness there was very little evidence of wear in 74k miles from my 2005 gti. Thanks for great service.
Changed it on my scirocco r was pretty easy to do after watching tr hamza’s YouTube video on a mk5 gti
And so far seems to be all good
Anyone with a EA113 engine needs to buy this kit as part of regular maintenance. Could do with some simple instructions, but a quick internet search and there are some good tutorials online.
Fast delivery, high quality replacement part, very easy to fit. Love that it comes with new bolts and brand new o-ring seal. Have used Awesome a good few times now and will continue to, no question.
