Neuspeed Flow Formed RSe10 Alloy Wheels 18x8 5x112
SOLD AS A SET OF FOUR
Introducing the all new RSe12 light weight wheels. Inspired by the 19inch NEUSPEED RSe14, the RSe12 features less spokes to optimise the weight saving and visually open up the design, allowing to display your fancy big brake kit. The RSe12 was designed specifically for the VW MKV and MKVI, which translates to complete direct bolt-on fitment utilising factory lug bolts, centre caps, as well as tire pressure monitoring sensors (if applicable) - No spacers, No hub rings!!
Weighing just a mere 19 lbs, The RSe12 wheels will enhance your driving experience cosmetically as well as performance by reducing the rotational mass or un-sprung weight.
Notes:
RSe wheels are OEM TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) compatible.
Every RSe wheel comes with 'RS' centre cap. However, one can choose to utilise OEM Audi or VW centre cap as well as mounting lug bolts, which are not included with the wheel.
Audi cap part #: 4B0 601 170 A
VW cap part #: 3B7 601 171
Compatible with Vagbremtechnic, TarOx and many other Bigbrake Setups without wheel spacers/adapters.
Being a former company car driver for almost 25 years and a complete newbie to any form of modification, I was a little nervous about adding non-OEM wheels to my own Mk7 Golf with performance pack. The 19" Santiago wheels looked good but were completely unsuitable for Kent roads - 3 tyres lost to potholes in 12 months. So they had to go.
After around 3 months of looking for a good 18" wheel I came across the Neuspeed RSE12s on a popular VW forum. The seemed perfect. The stud pattern and centre bore are identical to OEM Golf wheels. They bolt straight on with no need for potentially problematic hub spacers. The offset at 45mm is slightly less than OEM wheels and the width is 1/2 inch wider. Despite these small differences I was assured by forum users that these would fit perfectly with 235/40 R18 tyres. So I took the plunge, marginally preferring gunmetal to bronze.
The RSE12s were delivered last week, around 10 days early and I was lucky enough that my favoured tyre fitter had four Avon ZZ5's on the shelf. The result is... nothing short of delightful. The car looks more aggressive, the wheels sitting almost flush to the wings. The ride is more forgiving due to increased rubber and the steering slightly lighter. The car now drives and handles at it should have done when I bought it. Geometry is still good, no rubbing of tyres at full lock despite difference in tyre width, offset and wheel width.
Oh, and they do look Awesome ! Far better than the Santiagos and a mile ahead of standard GTI 18s.
