Powerflex Lower Dogbone Mount Insert Kit - PFF85-830 / PFF85-832
(3)
A lower engine mount bush insert can be one of the most rewarding yet cheapest upgrades you can do to your car. These really help to reduce transmission slop (often felt when going on and off the throttle) by minimising lateral engine movement giving you a much more direct feeling!
Many exhaust manufacturers also advise these as a necessary upgrade when fitting a performance downpipe.
For Diesel engine models use PFF85-#04R
For Petrol engine models use PFF85-#04
For Track use Petrol cars use PFF85-#04P
Notes:
- Please note these are an upgrade, some additional vibration may be felt.

Install was really easy, and car feels more solid. Particularly gear shifts feel much better without the box/engine moving back and forth so much. NVH increase is hardly noticeable, but I did get the "street" version rather than track. Highly recommend.
you notice more vibration in reverse. Driving is a great improvement the yellow one seems stiff enough but then I am just driving normally
2 minutes to fit, no vibration, car feels tighter.
Since fitting the insert I have noticed there is less drive train lurch and my gear changes on my MK5 R32 have noticeably improved. My biggest concern before purchasing this product was NVH, having read many online forum posts telling me to expect cabin vibration. I’m please to report that NVH levels are more than tolerable. In fact when I was driving away from my local garage after fitting I couldn’t detect any additional vibration whatsoever, with the exception of reverse gear, but how long do you drive in reverse for anyway and even then it’s only a very faint increase. I recommend this product to anyone thinking about buying one. I wasn’t sure which type of insert I needed for my car, so I emailed Awesome GTI and a gentleman called Al Brown answered my questions promptly and the delivery was swift as well.
Massive improvement over the stock bushing, car feels totally different and is much better to drive through the gears. I teamed this with the smaller bush and together they make a good improvement.
