034 Motorsport - Adjustable Rear Sway Bar End Links - Audi B9 A4/S4/A5/S5/RS5
If you’re looking to improve the handling of your Audi B9, this is the best place to start! These cars have a lot more body roll than desired, and the stock sway bars don't quite do enough for most owners to be satisfied. Engineered, designed, and tested in-house at ECS Tuning, you know these sway bars are built to last with the highest quality.
Larger diameter sway bars have a higher torsional spring rate which helps resist excessive body roll. By eliminating the excessive body roll and changing the stiffness of the sway bars front to rear, we can improve handling characteristics by reducing understeer and keep the tire in full contact with the ground. By upgrading to the ECS Tuning Adjustable Front Sway Bar, you will experience less body roll, and a massive improvement to the handling characteristics of your vehicle, with virtually no sacrifice in ride quality.
In our testing with both bars installed, we found up to a 1.5° reduction in body roll! Testing shows a significant and consistent increase in slalom speed of approximately 2 mph. On average there was a gain of ~0.5 seconds through the ~4.5 second total slalom run time. The slalom testing consisted of 5 gates spread 50’ apart. The increased stiffness gives the car a much more stable feel and allows the driver to stay consistent and in control:
The sway bars are also adjustable, and allow for a “softer” setting, or a “stiffer” setting, depending on your driving preferences.
Adjustable Front Sway Bar:
Design:
1.25” (31.75mm) OD, 0.120” (3.05mm) wall DOM (hollow) tubing
Black powder coated for corrosion resistance
80A Durometer custom polyurethane greasable bushings - reduces flex at mount as compared to OEM rubber
Grooved bushing inside diameter for improved grease retention
Black anodized 6061-T6 billet brackets with check valve grease port
Fully reversible back to factory components
Performance:
58% stiffness increase on “soft” setting
68% stiffness increase on “stiff” setting
Reduced body roll without excessive change in dynamic F/R balance
Increased cornering speed and response time
Works in unison with ECS 22mm rear sway bar
Testing has shown up to a 1.5° reduction in body roll when both bars are installed
Recommended use with ECS adjustable front sway bar end links
Adjustable Rear Sway Bar:
Design:
22.2mm OD solid steel bar
Black powder coated for corrosion resistance
80A Durometer polyurethane greasable bushings - reduces flex at mount as compared to OEM rubber
Grooved bushing inside diameter for improved grease retention
Black anodized 6061-T6 billet brackets with check valve grease port
Zinc coated class 12.9 hardware included for mounting brackets
Fully reversible back to factory components
Performance:
190% stiffness increase on “soft” setting
210% stiffness increase on “stiff” setting
Reduced body roll without excessive change in dynamic F/R balance
Increased cornering speed and response time
Testing has shown up to a 1.5° reduction in body roll when both bars are installed
*All testing shown was completed with both front and rear sway bars installed.
